Local tourism fair to be held in plaza de Toros

The Plaza de Toros in Valencia will be hosting the 'Fira de les Comarques' on 4–6 May. The fair is to promote local tourism and will include information about the region including places of interest to visit, how to get there, what to do in Valencia and how to enjoy the city and the region. The main objective of the fair is to promote the inland areas of the Valencia region, rather than the coast.

Exhibitors will set up stands inside the bullring and will offer workshops, information, samples of everything Valencian relating to tourism, gastronomy, leisure, culture among other things.
Visitors can purchase vouchers in order to take part in workshops and sample some of the food and drinks on offer. There will be concerts performed by local bands during the three days of the fair.
The fair will run from 18.00–22.00 on Friday 4 May, 11.00–14.00 and 18.00–22.00 on Saturday and Sunday 5 and 6 May.

Love Valencia website states that a nautical area has been proposed. A large swimming pool will be placed in the arena, much like Roman reenactments, and aquatic activities will be displayed and can be tried by visitors.

There’ll also be information available about cycling and cycle routes around Valencia and the region.
If you are interested in this event, tickets are available from the box office at the Plaza de Toros. If you’d like to discover Valencia and surrounding areas, rent a bike or enjoy a bike tour with BikeAlao at www.bikealao.com.
